Super Camp Africa: Kenya to host Africa’s first football reality series

The camp brings together emerging footballers from across Africa for training, mentorship, showcase matches, and off-pitch storytelling.
Kenya will host the inaugural edition of Super Camp Africa, a new 100-day pan-African football reality programme that combines intensive player development with entertainment and cultural exchange.
Organisers confirmed the show will launch on October 1 at Mashuuru Sports Complex in Kajiado County, south of Nairobi.

The camp brings together emerging footballers from across Africa for training, mentorship, showcase matches, and off-pitch storytelling.
Twelve nationalities are expected to be represented, with early arrivals already including players from Rwanda, Cameroon, Kenya, and Nigeria, while teams from Ghana, Uganda, Tanzania, and Liberia are set to join in the coming days.
Tope “Teddy A” Adenibuyan, a Nigerian-American entertainer and former Big Brother Naija housemate, has been unveiled as host of the show. Organisers say Teddy A’s cross-industry experience will help connect the sporting and entertainment sides of the programme.
The format will feature live matches, with the first game scheduled in Nairobi as part of a major fan campaign. Player performances will be tracked daily, with eliminations set to follow each showcase. In addition to football trials, the show will emphasise branding and professionalism, aiming to prepare young players for the modern game where image and attitude matter as much as skill.
“Football has gone beyond raw talent; it is also about how you brand yourself,” one of the organisers explained during a media briefing in Nairobi. “We want these young lads to understand that charisma, discipline, and professionalism can open doors just as much as goals and assists.”
The project has partnered with "Eyeball", one of the world’s fastest-growing scouting platforms, which will provide technical support and global exposure. Every training session will be recorded and streamed, allowing scouts and clubs to follow players in real time. Ex-professionals such as Obafemi Martins and Musa Ighobo are expected to mentor participants during the 100-day camp.
Organisers stressed the importance of media collaboration to amplify the programme’s reach, comparing it to the hype of shows like Big Brother Naija, but with “something more meaningful”, a blend of sport, culture, and youth empowerment. Content will be available via the official Super Camp Africa app, which will stream 24/7 coverage from inside the camp.
Nairobi has been positioned as the gateway city for the launch, giving the reality series visibility in one of Africa’s most football-passionate regions. A full press conference revealing the final roster, competing nations, and broadcast structure is scheduled in the coming weeks.
